We trek through the Carihuarazo and Chimborazo regions and sleep in mountain refuges, to visit the small volcano glacier, this is all within the Chimborazo National Park
We start the Vicuña Trek Chimborazo in the Carihuarazo refuge, to visit the small volcano glacier, this is all within the Chimborazo National Park, the trek is called Vicuña Trek for its wildlife especially of course wild vicuñas that live around the park, on the second day we trek to the refuge of Chimborazo, including the highest refuge whimper at 5000 m. sea level. on the third day we trek down on the Machay temple and lonesome tree in the paramo, the group sleeps in a mountain refuge hotel, finally to end on the 4th day the group treks to the polylepis forest, a unique forest above 4000 m. above sea level
